We live to exalt King Jesus and help everyone fix their eyes on Him so that all may see Him rightly!
Ministry Goals
-
We aim to bring the Lord a pleasing offering, a sacrifice of praise which is our spiritual worship. We delight in His presence and acts of obedience to Him!
Romans 13:15-16
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. -
We aim to give the Lord our very best because He is worthy of all that we have. We acknowledge that everyone is on the journey of growing as a follower, and a worshiper, no one expects perfection!
Psalm 33:1-3
Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!
Praise befits the upright.
Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre;
make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. -
Worship is more than a warm-up for the sermon or a filler in the service. Colossians 3:16 is clearly laying out for us that: Singing stands alongside of preaching as one of the two great ways that God has ordained for his Word to dwell richly in each one of us!
Colossians 3:6-7
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.Colossians 3:16-17
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. -
We are more than a worship team, we are a family and choose to acknowledge hard questions, face conflict, and go deep with one another in relationship. Being brothers and sisters in Christ is a joy and we choose to grow in the Kingdom family!
John 1:12-13
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. -
Our hope is that through worship the Church will be strengthened as we fix our eyes on Jesus!
-
We believe that we have a biblical calling to write music that is pleasing to the Lord. We often play songs that have been written by people within the family, not to do a cool thing, but because of the Lord's invitation!
Psalm 40:3
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear
And will trust in the Lord.Deuteronomy 31:19
“Now therefore write this song and teach it to the people of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the people of Israel.Psalm 96
Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering, and come into his courts!
Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness
tremble before him, all the earth!
