KINGDOM KIDS

KINGDOM KIDS

Our Mission for the Kid’s Ministry here at Antioch Salt Lake City is to establish and equip hearts of true worship that love God, obey His Word, & make disciples in Utah and beyond!

How do we do that?

  • In this classroom, our primary focus is on creating a safe environment for the children to encounter God’s love for them. Through play, short stories, and worship we hope to introduce who Jesus is and how loved they are by Him. We follow the Think Orange First Look Curriculum.

  • In this classroom, our goal is to further develop the children’s understanding of God’s love for them. We want every child to leave learning three basic truths: God loves me, God made me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We do this through play, bible stories, worship, and guided activities. We follow the Think Orange First Look Curriculum.

  • In this classroom, our primary focus is to help children encounter the living God through His Word. We aim to foster a deep understanding of the Bible and equip our kids with hearts of worship that inspire them to walk with Jesus. We believe in partnering with parents to create an environment where the tools learned in class can be practiced both at home and within the Kingdom Kids community. We utilize the 252 Think Orange Curriculum to guide our teachings.

  • In this classroom, our goal is to deepen each child’s relationship with the Living God while exploring what it means to be a follower of Jesus and a disciple-maker. Students will engage with the Word of God, discover His love for them, and learn the importance of obedience. Each week, we will incorporate a takeaway activity that reinforces the lesson, allowing students to connect their learning to their families and communities in meaningful ways. We utilize the 252 Think Orange Curriculum to guide our teachings.

  • On the first Sunday of every month, Kingdom Kids will not open until after worship. Parents can grab their kids’ tags before service for any easy transition.

Purpose & Vision of Children in Worship:
    - Invite our kids to encounter God corporately with the whole church body. (Our children engage in corporate worship and encounter God weekly with their age groups.)
    - Model to our kids what authentic worship looks like. “Bringing our children into worship affords them the opportunity to observe the importance and delight in the life of their parents.” -Let the Children Worship
    - Empower our kids to be involved in creating an atmosphere of praise and worship (Psalm 8:2).
    - In the Bible, we see that discipling our kids is an “as you go” model, instructing our children in the midst of acts of worship (Deuteronomy 4:6-9, Exodus 13:8).
    - Children are part of the congregation (and children who are saved by the blood of Christ are, in fact, a part of the covenant Body!!!)… Let's let our actions communicate that. Consciously or unconsciously we are making a statement about how we view our children when we include or exclude them (Joel 2:16, Deuteronomy 16:11).
