Acts Pt. 10 | Sermon Notes

Acts Pt. 10

Ephesians 1:3-7 // Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Ephesians 1:13-14 // In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 2:17-22 // And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Father - Adoptions - Sons - Inheritance - Household - Dwelling Place
Can you see the picture that Scripture is painting? God is a Good Father on a mission to rescue His lost sons and daughters by adopting them back into His spiritual family through the blood of Jesus.

This is why the church is not an organization, a club, a building, or a religious institution… in its truest and purest form, it is GOD’S FAMILY ON THE EARTH.

  3. Scripture (1:16, 2:16-21, 2:25-28, 4:25-26)

  5. Repentance (2:37-39, 3:19-21)

  6. Generous Community (2:42-47, 4:32)

  7. Boldness & Miracles (3:6-8, 4:13, 4:29-31, 5:12-16)

We believe that these are the non-negotiable ingredients to “To establishing CHURCHES of true worship…” that can reach the lost, impact a city, and expand the Kingdom of God on the earth.

Do you want to know what is possible if we get this right?

Do you want to see what this Blueprint is capable of producing if we build off of it?

The Book of Acts actually shows us. And it is way more exciting than any church you or I have ever been a part of…

Acts 5:12-16 // Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico. 13 None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high esteem. 14 And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. 16 The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

So here is my invitation… In view of God’s vision for His House and His earthly family, will you give yourself whole-heartedly to His church in 2025?

You may have a joyful YES in your heart already… or you may find that you have a desire to say “yes” but something is in the way. If that’s you, I would ask this… What do you need to surrender so that you can fully say YES to Him today?

I want to invite you into a fresh surrender of your life to the Lord today.

It may be your first time, or it may be your 100th time.

As we prayed and prepared for today, I heard the Lord say the word “TOUCH.”

Acts 5:12 // Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico.
